Todays Woman Community

Todays-women are an interactive writing community for men and women, 18 years of age and over.
We have united in a warm friendship setting, resembling that of a coffee house to read and give feedback on one another's work. We encourage and build our writing techniques through feedback, weekly contests, recognition as poet and writer of the month, writing lessons and forum discussions. The Annual Transcontinental Poetry Award by Pavement Saw Press

Each year Pavement Saw Press will seek to publish at least one book of poetry and/or prose poems from manuscripts received during this competition. Selection is made anonymously through a competition that is open to anyone who has not previously published a volume of poetry or prose. The author receives $1000 and a percentage of the press run. . This is an award for first books only.

Blinking Eye Publishing 2006, Poetry Competition.

linking Eye Publishing promotes the work of unknown and established poets. Their annual poetry competition is for poets over the age of 50. Entries to be sent in blocks of 5 poems: 1st block, fee £10.00: additional blocks, fee £5.00. The overall winner will have their collection published, and will receive 100 copies of the book. All commended poems will be published in an anthology; contributors will receive a free copy. The first launch will be held in Newcastle upon Tyne, during the first week of December, 2006.

The Ohio State University Press-The Journal Award in Poetry

September 30 deadline. The Journal, the literary magazine of The Ohio State University, selects one full-length manuscript of poetry each year for publication by The Ohio State University Press.
