John Balaban is the author of twelve books of poetry and prose. He is actually Poet-in-Residence and Professor of English in the creative writing program at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. In Spring, 2006, Copper Canyon Press will publish his new book of poems, entitled Path, Crooked Path,
