Margarita Engle

Margarita EngleMargarita Engle, is a botanist and the Cuban-American author of several books about the island, most recently The Poet Slave of Cuba (Henry Holt & Co., April, 2006). Short works appear in journals such as Atlanta Review, California Quarterly, Caribbean Writer, Hawai'i Pacific Review, and Nimrod. Awards include a Cintas Fellowship, a San Diego Book Award, and a 2005 Willow Review Poetry Award. Margarita lives in central California, where she enjoys hiking in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Morelle Smith

Morelle SmithBorn and educated in the UK, Morelle published three collections of poetry and one of short stories. Latest collection, The Way Words Travel, published by UKA press in 2005. She also translates Les Femmes en Orient by Dora d’Istria, an account of life in Greece and Albania in the 19th century, into English.

Kenneth Kesner

Kenneth KesnerKenneth Kesner has presented work throughout North America and East Asia, where he’s held several academic positions including Foreign Expert and Lecturer in China and Lecturer in South Korea. He has twice received a publication award from National Cheng-chi University. His trilogy entitled “Amerikan” will soon be published through a university press in Australia.
