Brenda G. Wooley grew up on a farm in Kentucky in a family of avid storytellers and colorful friends and neighbors. Much of her writing is drawn from those characters, hoping to capture and preserve the unique dialogue, eccentricities and contradictions of the people she knows best. Her work has appeared in Southern Hum, River Walk Journal, Amarillo Bay, Etchings, and elsewhere. She has lived in Illinois and Michigan and now resides near Paducah, Kentucky, where she is at work on a novel.
