Eileen Dawson Peterson

Eileen Dawson Peterson grew up in South Dakota but has lived in Eugene, OR since 1952. She has written poetry since childhood. She is an award winning poet and playwright published in numerous magazines including "South Dakota Magazine" and "Faith and Inspiration" and in several Anthologies including "HerStory" from ElizaPress. Her play, “Blue Skies and Butterflies” won an Honorable Mention in 2004 Writer’s Digest Annual Writing competition.

She has published a children’s picture book titled, “Kitty With the Raccoon Tail” and one chapbook.
She is a member of Lane Literary Guild, Mid-Valley Willamette Writers and Oregon State Poetry Assoc.
