Jason Makansi lives in St. Louis, MO, USA. His fiction has been accepted by the Amazon Shorts program, and his short stories have been published in Marginalia; Mizna: Prose, Poetry, and Art Exploring Arab America; Big Buddy: A Journal of the Mississippi River Valley; and Rainbow Curve. He has also published three non-fiction books, the latest being Lights Out: The Electricity Crisis, the Global Economy, and What It Means to You, through John Wiley & Sons. By day, he is an electricity and energy industry consultant and president of Pearl Street Inc. In the 1990s, he traveled extensively overseas, covering the global electricity industry. In addition to St. Louis, he has lived a good part of his life in New York City and Signal Mountain, Tennessee, near Chattanooga. He is an active member of the Zoetrope on-line workshop and participates in a writers group that meets weekly in St. Louis. He may have started on his first novel.
