Louise Ostling Arsenio was born and raised in Sweden. She moved to Arkansas to attend University of Arkansas on a tennis scholarship, and then moved to El Paso where she received her MFA in creative writing while working as the assistant coach with the University of Texas at El Paso’s tennis team. She has published in Crossconnect, Ascent, Lifeboat, Parting Gifts, and elsewhere. In Sweden (in Swedish), she’s published in Karavan and is forthcoming in Bang. She’s currently working as a high school teacher in Sweden. “Coming to Arkansas” is a chapter of her MFA thesis, the unpublished novel I am Liza and Stina.
