Peggy Ann Tartt

Peggy Ann Tartt is the author of Among Bones (Lotus Press 2002), which won the ninth annual, prestigious Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Award. Rita Dove selected the MS as a runner-up in Cave Canem’s inaugural poetry contest. Peggy is an awardee of the Money for Women/Barbara Deming Memorial Fund feminist grant, and a 2001 Pushcart Prize nominee. She was a guest poet at the Culvert Chronicles (2006), and has contributed poetry to an array of publications, including Poem, Bryant Literary Review, Field, Prairie Schooner, Pedestal Magazine, Poetry Motel, and many others. She has worked for many years as an editor-writer and adjunct instructor, and holds an MFA degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (USA).
