The Irresistible Literary Way of Poet Djelloul Marbrook. A 30 minutes audio conversation conducted by Martina Newberry

17.Question: What are you working on now?

It’s a secret. Actually it’s a novella about breaking and entering.

18.Question:Who is your favorite writer/poet?

I have so many favorites. But I am prompted to mention Mark Helprin’s novel, Winter’s Tale. The poets who come to mind as having given me inordinate pleasure are Marvell, Dickinson, Donne, Hafiz, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, and so many others. I dislike your question, but I understand it. It’s just the question I used so many times as a reporter, because it does tell the reader a little bit about a writer’s tastes. But only a little bit.
