A little gypsy girl sparkles and dances around
On the platform in a small factory town

Give me a few coins
They shook they jingled
All the little bells she didn't have
Windows in small towns and villages glow
Along both sides of the train
Wheels speed up. Windows fly past
And I can’t keep up to peek inside.
Dr. Kevin Christianson is Professor of English at Tennessee Tech University where he teaches courses in American and World literature as well as creative writing. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, and a B.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
