Modern tale of love, poem by Lana Hechtman

      Love as shrink wrap
      nearly air-tight
      or so she thought

he found a way to wriggle free
      without her seeing
      then wriggle back in again

      he didn't see
      she didn't want to see
      anyway

      until the day
      he wanted her to see
      and so she did

love as shrink wrap no more
      love as memory
      as unbiodegradable crap
