Owen Elmore is interested in the ways writers serve as societal pilot fish, clinging close enough to clean the body of culture of its outmoded paradigms while managing to remain marginal enough to the sonar of conscious social perception and convention to succeed in their work. Elmore is Assistant Professor of English at the Alexandria campus of Louisiana State University. He served for two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Lesotho, southern Africa.
