Irving Greenfield: I am 78 years old. My wife, Anita, and I live in Manhattan, not far from where the World Trade Center was. I'm a former college professor. I have two sons: one son lives in Japan, and another in Canada. I also have four grandchildren: two in each country.
Both my sons are authors.
After I leave Starbucks, I settle on to the rear seat of taxi on the corner of Eighth Avenue and Fifty Fourth Street. I’m on my way to meet with my producer to discuss my up coming play.

It’s a short distance away. No more than a twenty minute walk if I felt up to it. But I don’t.
