Chaffin published and edited The Melic Review (www.melicreview.com,) for eight years until its recent extended hiatus, a journal that has distinguished itself not only by its content but through the work of poets at its board in winning and/or placing in the InterBoard Poetry Competition repeatedly. Widely published, he has written literary criticism, fiction, personal essays, as well as being the featured poet in over twenty magazines.

Then came the era when lies could be used against accusations of substance without fear of betrayal by loyalists or a discovery by the press.
