first book manifestos
If you are a first book poet, send 250-500 words on what you hoped to accomplish with your first book. What voice did you want to add to the world? Are you joining a chorus or standing alone? What makes this book special and unique? The first book marks the beginning — the beginning of what? Email your manifesto to boxcarpoetry@gmail.com with "MANIFESTO: your name" in the subject line of the email. Please include the title of your book and a brief bio as well.

art & photography
Email images in JPG format for review to boxcarpoetry@gmail.com with "IMAGE-SUB: your name" in the subject line of the email. Include a brief bio in the text of your email. If accepted, we may request a larger and/or uncompressed version.

interviews
We find the most interesting interviews are conversations between poets who already have some familiarity with each other. As with the reviews, our focus is on poets who have recently published their first book. If you have an interview you'd like to do, please send your proposal to boxcarpoetry@gmail.com and indicate "INTERVIEW" in the header.
